Nobody rushes you
Thirty minutes for a cut, an hour for a cut and beard. Enough time to check how your hair actually grows before anything gets taken off.
You get the same barber
Book Jack, Gerald, Gabi or Daniel by name and you get them. After a couple of visits you stop having to explain what you want.
Washed and finished
Hair washed, neck and shoulders done, cold drink while you wait. Bottled water or a Coke Zero — we stopped doing coffee.

We are in the Victorian arcade that runs between South Parade and St Peter’s Gate, two minutes from Old Market Square. People walk past the entrance the first time — look for the glass roof.
