Romanian, detail-obsessed, the barber parents ask for, and very hard not to get on with.
Gabriel — Gabi to everyone — is from Romania, and attention to detail comes up in his reviews more often than anything else. He is also the barber customers describe as personable before they describe the haircut, which is a good problem for a barber to have.
Parents name him more than any other barber here. Four separate reviews are from mums and dads bringing children in, including one whose son was nervous about having his hair cut at all and another describing his boy as “a tough customer”. Both left happy. Gerald is the other one to ask for with children.
He does a good deal of the beard restyle work, and he is often the one who finds a way to fit somebody in who has walked in off Old Market Square without a booking.
He and Daniel work with the more modern cutting techniques, which is largely why the detail holds up between cuts. There is usually more than one route to a result; they pick the one that suits your hair.
He speaks Romanian, if that is easier.
