If you are in Hockley you are spoilt for independents, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we would say is that we are a short walk away, we publish our prices, and a third of our reviews name the barber rather than the shop — which is the bit that matters if you want the same cut twice.
From Hockley, head west along Goose Gate and Carlton Street towards the city centre, keep going through to St Peter’s Gate, and Flying Horse Walk is the covered arcade on your right. Roughly ten minutes at an unhurried pace.
Worth the walk for the straight-razor shave in particular — hot towels, open blade, twenty minutes of nothing to do. Book that one rather than walking in.
